I haven't blogged for awhile and I don't recall all of my workouts so I'm just going to log my races. However, many of my workouts have involved 800s, 400s, 300s, and 200s recently. Anyways, this week was our city week. I started out with the lead leg of the 4x8 after a mile warmup. My plan was to sit on this 2-flat guy for the first lap and then push the second but when I got to the line I discovered he wasn't running. So... I sat on his team's other guy for the first lap (61.5) and then made a move and ran another 61.5. The rest of my boys stretched the lead and we won the race. Cooled down a mile and got in the shade. Later I warmed up for the 3200 with a mile jog and stretches. My plan was to run 70s consistently but coming through the homestretch of the first lap "noticed" the wind and felt a little tired. I ended up leading for 5 laps and then luckily my boy JK moved up so I stuck behind him for the next few. At the 400 I kicked and ended up with a 64 last lap which brought me to the win. I wasn't happy with the time but I just wasn't feeling it today. Mile cooldown on the turf.
